WATCH Out

One accessory I consider very crucial for both men and women is a watch. I, embarrassingly enough, have worn the same Timex sports watch since I was a freshman in high school, but now I feel as if I should put my big girl pants on and step it up a notch...or a watch if you will. I've searched all over the internet, anxiously anticipating the moment when I find the perfect watch to include on my ever extending Christmas list. Bright colored watches are very popular right now--Michael Kors and a brand called ToyWatch are the most popular. I like the bright colors, but Michael Kors also has a tortoise watch that I absolutely love. As much as I love these watches, I most likely will get another sports watch. Watches with hands take me too long to figure out watch time it is... I'm going to have to stick with the digital.

Country Music's Big Night

Last night was the CMA Awards where country artists could accept awards, perform some songs and of course show off their style. It seems to me most award shows have gone from a night focused on talent to a night focused on fashion. Carrie Underwood, co-host and winner of two awards last night, proved this to be true by changing her outfit 7 times during the night. Also, fashion for award nights used to be centered around women, but nowadays men are getting recognized for their style. One of my favorite fashion changes of the night was when Taylor Swift was performing "Love Story". She started the song wearing a purple gown, but midway (through smoke) she reappeared wearing a white gown. I think for the most part everyone looked great last night... country award fashions seem to be a little more traditional compared to outfits worn at MTV or other pop awards.

I'm Guilty.

I admit it... I wear Uggs. With winter just around the corner, I consider them a crucial necessity. Though they may be annoying looking, or the infamous UGGly, I still wear them proudly. I don't wear them year round--which brings me to the point that they defeat their purpose when you wear them with shorts--but once the chill hits I bust them out and never take them off. With the Classic Tall (my personal fave) being around $150, they are a relatively easy buy that can outlast most purchases. I'm sure they're just the modern day Doc Martin that will soon go out of style, so that's why I have to cherish my time with them. You can buy them at most shoe stores, and if you want them as a Christmas present BUY NOW because they're more popular than High School Musical action figures at a 4th grade sleep over. Here are some celebrities that feel the same way...
